January 27, 2013 – During an interview with The New Republic, Barack Obama was asked this question:
New Republic: I’m wondering if you, as a fan, take less pleasure in watching football, knowing the impact that the game takes on its players.
Obama: “I’m a big football fan, but I have to tell you if I had a son, I’d have to think long and hard before I let him play football. And I think that those of us who love the sport are going to have to wrestle with the fact that it will probably change gradually to try to reduce some of the violence. In some cases, that may make it a little bit less exciting, but it will be a whole lot better for the players, and those of us who are fans maybe won’t have to examine our consciences quite as much. I tend to be more worried about college players than NFL players in the sense that the NFL players have a union, they’re grown men, they can make some of these decisions on their own, and most of them are well-compensated for the violence they do to their bodies. You read some of these stories about college players who undergo some of these same problems with concussions and so forth and then have nothing to fall back on. That’s something that I’d like to see the NCAA think about.“
Really Mr Ruler? Is it just something you are thinking about, or maybe you’re merging in with the rest of the crowd that wants to see an end to college football because players tend to get injured? As if they or their parents take no responsibility for their own decision making in whether or not to play football. Of course you, Mr Ruler, don’t believe Americans have the ability to make life decisions without the help of government.
You have 4 years left to ponder the idea. You’ve screwed up the rest of our country with your Marxist/Socialist ideology, and now American citizens are struggling to save the Second Amendment from the dictating fingers of your regime.
Whats next dear Ruler? Baseball, Hockey, Soccer? How about that thug game of the NBA you’re so enthused with?
Here we all are in an age when women are going to be allowed to enter combat roles in our military, and now Barack Obama is concerned with college football injuries.
The next step, of course, will be for our government to weaken the physical requirements so that a certain quota of females have an equal opportunity to become combat soldiers. Just like many fire departments and police departments have done all across our country. Is this really what we need to protect our country and our allies? A bunch of limp wristed soldiers scampering across the battlefield under enemy fire?
Who goes to jail during a domestic incident when the wife slaps her husband and he in turn pushes her away in defense? The husband of course, because society and the law expects him to stand there and get bitch slapped over and over again… and take it like a man. Now we are supposed to believe that it’s OK for that same female to stand side by side with a male in a combat unit? How many Court Martial cases should we expect to come down the road out of that arrangement?
Remember when men were real men? Today we live in a society of young metro males who spend their spare time at the salon primping before they skip off to watch a soccer game with their buddies. I suppose throwing back some beers with the guys is ok so long as you don’t break freshly manicured nail nowadays.
Where are the real leaders today? People like John F. Kennedy, who stood in the face of evil during the Cuban Missile Crisis, never backing down from the threat of nuclear war with Nikita Khrushchev. Robert Kennedy, who fought the corrupt unions until the day he was murdered. Martin Luther King Jr. who fought the racist Democrat regime and pushed our society from the stone ages of pure racism into a new world where men would be judged by the content of their character, not by the color of their skin.
Today we’ve gone from strong decision making leaders to what amounts to a man-boy who went from being a pot head to rubbing shoulders with terrorists, and finally Ruler of America by promising the moocher culture everything they wanted. A free ride off the backs of hard working Americans.
And here we are today. The United States of America… weak, broke, and taken over by a class of candy asses, moochers and leeches. Soon there will be grief counselors at every college football game to give injured players a little pat on the back and some warm milk to wash away their little tears. It’s OK, mommy government is gonna make it all better now. -JRoycroft
