Our Home Search is Over

At last I can report that we have finally found our new home back in our favorite city of Newnan, Ga.

If you are a fan of the TV series, “The Walking Dead,” then you are likely to know that the city of Newnan is one of the locations used for the filming. It is not at all uncommon to see film crews in and around the small towns in Coweta County Ga.

Friday will be the day we complete our 3 month search for a house. Immediately after closing we will begin the tiring task of relocating, permanently.

The school, which has always been our main concern, was the primary factor in our decision to move into the chosen neighborhood. We currently home school our girls but will be enrolling them into a highly recommended government school.  Of course, as responsible parents, we will be closely monitoring what the school teaches and we will be heavily involved in school activities. My wife will also involved within the school. Should there be any questions regarding the quality or integrity of our girls teachers, we have the option of a local Charter school or even returning them to home schooling. We will be the ones in control of our girls education, not the government.

We decided it would be a great idea and took our little girls trick or treating tin our soon to be neighborhood and got a first hand experience on what our new neighbors were like.  We also used it for an opportunity to introduce ourselves. We have no complaints and expect to be very happy there.

Our new home, which is actually several years old, comes with a brand new central heating and air unit, new roof, and huuuuuge wooded back yard for the girls and our weenie dog, Sadie.

We are in the process now of shopping for new furniture as we want a fresh start with new goodies inside.

Updates to our new home, which will be an ongoing project over the next few months, will include new bamboo floors, updated kitchen, new appliances, and a new washer and dryer. We are still using the same “scratch n dent” washer/dryer I had before we got married and is way over due for replacement.

We were talking the other night about how excited we both are that we finally can call somewhere home. After being married 6 years and being apartment dwellers most of that time, we both feel like our lives together are starting on new path. Our little girls finally have a permanent home where they can make new friends that they can grow up with.

With all the freedoms and liberties being taken away from us by our corrupt and Fascist government, the Roycroft family will not be held back from achieving our American dream nor will it stop my children from living and achieving their dreams. -JRoycroft

By the way, if you think for one minute I am going to post an actual pic of my new home then you must be bat shit crazy!
